Mandip Bhogal

Mandip is an Associate working in Knight Frank’s Healthcare team, spearheading their consultancy offering. In 2013 Mandip became a member of the Senior Management Team of a UK luxury care home developer and operator where he advised on the due diligence of sites, sourcing development land, conducting financial appraisals of sites and analysing the performance of operational care homes. Since joining Knight Frank in 2017 Mandip has used his strategic and development expertise within the care home sector to provide consultancy services to healthcare investors, developers and operators as well as sourcing care home development sites for clients.

Kieren Cole

A Chartered Surveyor since 2000, Kieren is Partner at Knight Frank LLP and has experience in providing valuation and consultancy services to lenders in the healthcare, retail and licensed/leisure market. Kieren is responsible for commercial valuations across the healthcare sector, including care homes, independent hospitals, close care/extra care developments and other healthcare properties. Kieren provides both trading and investment valuations for secured lending and portfolio valuations for major high street banks, private equity houses and corporate, charitable and private operators. Other key areas include strategic advice to care home operators from private, public and charitable sectors. Kieren also has experience of preparing reports under Civil Procedure Rules and being instructed in the capacity of Single Joint Expert, including reporting to Court for matrimonial settlement purposes. He recently achieved RICS accredited Mediation status and is also a trained RICS APC Assessor.

Clare Connell 

Clare leads the team at Connell Consulting and is well known within the private equity and corporate finance world for her extensive knowledge of health, social care and education. After graduating from Durham University, Clare has worked in strategy consulting for 20 years at the Strategy Practice of Accenture, OC&C Strategy Consultants and then 7 years as the most experienced Engagement Manager at Candesic. In the last 7 years Clare and her team at Connell Consulting have worked on a large volume of substantial transactions, strategic reports and operational improvement projects in the health, social care and special education markets. Connell Consulting won the LaingBuisson Management Consultant Award in 2019 and the HealthInvestor Consultancy of the Year 2016; Clare was also voted Sector Expert by her peers in the 2018 and 2019 HealthInvestor Power 50.

Emma Glynn

Emma heads the Healthcare Advisory team at JLL having specialised in the Healthcare sector since 2007. She has particular responsibility for providing valuation advisory and consultancy services to a variety of clients including UK and international investors, operators and lenders, in relation to a full spectrum of healthcare assets including care homes, specialist care, GP practices and private hospitals. Instructions have ranged from major investment portfolio valuations to advising on operational entities and providing strategic advice in relation to assets both in the UK and Europe. Emma is also a non-executive Director of Somerset Care, a not-for-profit care organization with homes and services across the South of England.

Siwan Griffiths

Siwan is a health and social care regulatory lawyer and Partner at Bevan Brittan LLP with significant experience of advising health, social care and senior living clients (private, public and not for profit organisations) on service regulation. Her practice includes advising clients on a number of contentious and non-contentious matters ranging from regulatory registration issues, post CQC inspection factual accuracy challenge work, regulatory enforcement work and representing clients in appeals to the First Tier Tribunal and in criminal proceedings. She also undertakes due diligence support for clients on the regulatory issues arising in the acquisitions of businesses. She further helps prepare and train Executive and Non-Executive Board members, along with senior management teams, for CQC inspections, providing training and undertaking mock interviews on CQC “Well-Led” and governance issues. 

Anthony Oldfield

Anthony is a leading expert in the care home and retirement living property markets having worked in the UK healthcare market for over 15 years. Anthony is a Director at JLL with particular responsibility for facilitating investment into the retirement and care home markets through new sites, forward funding opportunities, disposals, and acquisitions of operational healthcare assets and real estate backed businesses. Anthony is also a trustee of Brunelcare who are a Bristol based charity caring for older people.

Carlton Sadler

Carlton is Partner and head of the Healthcare Regulatory team at Bevan Brittan LLP and an experienced regulatory lawyer specialising in health and social care service regulation. He works on contentious and non-contentious matters ranging from advice to regulators on the exercise of their powers, representation in judicial review challenges, regulatory enforcement work in terms of prosecutions and appeals to the First-tier Tribunal, and representation in public inquiry. He works on quality governance issues including advising clients on quality governance processes and the handling of complex high profile investigations into patient safety and quality issues. He advises health and social care providers on various aspects of regulatory law. Such advice includes the impact of regulatory considerations on the re-structuring exercises and governance arrangements, the making of applications for registration, issues relating to on-going compliance, and responses to enforcement action taken by the regulator. His experience includes numerous cases in the First-tier Tribunal, regulatory prosecutions and urgent applications to magistrates as well as judicial review challenges to the exercise of regulators’ powers.

Craig Wilson

Craig has over 17 years’ experience in commercial real estate finance, covering investment and development lending and social housing finance.  He was a Director for Barclays, Metro Bank and OakNorth Bank, specialising in loan origination for large real estate clients of £10m to £150m+.  Craig also has experience of restructuring debt facilities and work-outs, including appointment of LPA Receivers.  During his time at Knight Frank , Craig has worked closely with a number of healthcare and retirement living developers / operators and is a member of the CREFCE Senior Living Initiative Committee.
