Intelligent Automation – The Impact on the Photo Studio

May 4, 15:20 PM EDT

Intelligent Automation evolved from a team of associates at Stanley Black & Decker, a group of bare bones, motivated, team members who felt the photo process was too slow. The effort was motivated by the desire to build something better, scale it, and repeat. With nominal success working alone, ultimate success came from assembling a team, who built a system to adjust nuances of specific styles of working on ‘Products On White’.

It is within the reach of any studio, with dedicated talent, to make or improve on what was created at Stanley Black & Decker. Marc will share the goals, the process and the concepts which lead his team to breakthroughs in post processing.

Key areas explored in this presentation:

  • Understanding the opportunity and philosophy. Identify ways to start now and create the mindset for transformation with automation as the foundation for the future.
  • Integrating automation into core post-production tasks. Encourage a culture of collecting and reviewing data/results to inform decisions for improvements.
  • Development and implementation. Inputs and outcomes are clearly defined and achievable – it greatly accelerates development work.
  • Expanding ownership and adoption. The route to greater and faster improvements in process.
