The Art and Practice of Managing Digital Media

Kristin Burns

AD, Digital Assets, Creative Services

AT&T Mobility & Entertainment

Kristin Burns has spent her career helping people craft beautiful designs with the perfect creative assets. Whether photo editing, photographing or managing digital imagery, she has continuously worked across teams to ensure stakeholders stay on-brand and on-deadline. When it comes to digital asset management (DAM) systems, Kristin has launched both enterprise vendor solutions as well as proprietary systems working with providers and third-party integrators to build to the company’s requirements. Leading everything from bug-testing to authoring standards to creating naming conventions to building taxonomies of rich metadata from tag to keyword, she has led the full lifecycle of DAM design, integration and maintenance. She has successfully promoted user adoption, for both internal and external partners, through training, communication and seeking user feedback. Kristin has one goal – to create a DAM that is the single source of truth you can trust has the right asset, right now.
