DAM New York 2020

The Art and Practice of Managing Digital Media

Kathleen Cameron

Global Digital Asset Manager

Kathleen received her BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1989 in film and photography. She was always more interested in process than end product which led her to working in photography archives and eventually to an MLIS. These experiences have brought her to a place where she understands the importance of including a broad range of stakeholders to gain full understanding of the asset life-cycle from acquisition to dissemination to preservation. Through focusing on users’ requirements and analyzing outcomes, Kathleen has developed best practices and sustainable procedures for the best utilization of digital asset management tools and services.

Before attending a HS DAM event, I never knew the true impact or importance of DAM. For the first time it felt like I wasn't alone, but part of something so much greater. I left inspired and motivated to take what I had learned and apply it our DAM system. I look forward to the event every year!

“The Henry Stewart DAM NY conference did not disappoint. The breadth of topics and experiences covered were amazing.  I could have used three of me to cover all the sessions I was interested in attending!”
