Meg Morrissey

Senior DAM Architect

MediaValet

Meg Morrissey is the Senior DAM Architect for MediaValet. She lends her expertise in digital asset management to both internal teams and clients with a goal of making digital asset management simple, flexible, and scalable so organizations get back to doing what they do best.

Meg caught the DAM bug while tagging car parts for General Motors as a student getting her Master of Science in Information at the University of Michigan. She has spent close to a decade establishing and running governance programs while polishing metadata and taxonomies for companies large and small and across industries. In addition to working with data, Meg has collaborated with software engineers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers to improve tooling, workflows, and data structures for CPG and Media & Entertainment.

Meg also provides expertise to media and entertainment standards development through SMPTE and MESA as the Co-Chair of the Language Metadata Table (LMT), a language metadata standard.

Meg can typically be found dreaming up ideas for her next homebrewed beer in Chicago.

Before attending a HS DAM event, I never knew the true impact or importance of DAM. For the first time it felt like I wasn't alone, but part of something so much greater. I left inspired and motivated to take what I had learned and apply it our DAM system. I look forward to the event every year!

The Henry Stewart DAM NY conference did not disappoint. The breadth of topics and experiences covered were amazing.  I could have used three of me to cover all the sessions I was interested in attending!
