There can be many benefits for all parties who are in a joint venture structure but structuring the partnership is complex and involved. Joint ventures are essential to many property deals; however, in transactions with multiple interested parties clear thinking is vital to ensure that nothing goes wrong. This session will look at the how you make the decision to joint venture and the due diligence process including:

  • Choosing the right partner – what are the best co-investment terms
  • Dividing the rights and obligations – managing the risks and responsibilities
  • Decision making and profit distributions
  • Structuring the leadership and management team including governance structures
  • Deadlock, conflict … resolution and exit strategies
