In this session we will be looking at hot topics in planning practice.

At present, by the time of the webinar we:

  • Anticipate that the Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities (DLUHC) will be fixing a revised direction of travel.
  • Expect further guidance on new homes targets and building beautiful.
  • Hope to have seen further progress on solving the nutrient neutrality issues that are currently delaying the determination of many planning applications.
  • Shall be evaluating/discussing the progress of the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill.


We will certainly aim to consider how Local Planning Authorities (LPAs) are, in practice, approaching the fallout from the Supreme Court Hillside Parks Ltd v Snowdonia National Park Authority decision.
