Alison has extensive cost management experience in the science and technology sector and understands key trends regarding the future of science workplaces and how these need to be reflected in today’s cost advice. Alison has led the application of all AECOM’s lab cost data into a digital platform; understanding and interpreting this cost data is vital to the success of a commercial science facility, particularly the type of science and user.

Alison is a steering group member of the Urban Land Institute’s European Product Council for Life Science and Health, having contributed to their recent publication ‘Life Sciences, the Case for Real Estate Investment’ and has authored the recent Building Magazine article on repurposing offices to commercial laboratory space.
