Bob Silk

Bob Silk has been with Barclays for just over 44 years, having joined the Bank as an office junior in September 1979.

He earned his first appointment as a relationship manager October 1989, and was generalist corporate banker until early 1993 when he specialised in corporate turnarounds for five years.

In March 1998 Bob was a founder member of the Bank’s Hospitality & Leisure Team, since which time he has specialised in meeting the financial needs of multi-site hotel, pub and restaurant companies. His experience spans arranging funding for all manner of refinancing, development, acquisitions and leveraged buyouts, both bilaterally and via multi-bank syndications for both listed and unlisted businesses.

For the last nine years Bob has also been a Trustee of The Springboard Charity. He is also currently Chair of HOSPA and is closely involved with the Bank’s Military Veterans programme.
