Johan has been working in structured finance for over 20 years and has held several management positions at Deutsche Bank and UBS. Johan holds an MBA of the University of Chicago, which he attended as a Fulbright scholar, and an engineering degree of the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium. In 2009 Risk Structured Products recognized Johan with an award as one of the ten global pioneers in the development of the structured products market. Johan started his career at Merrill Lynch in 1993 where he introduced the first capital guaranteed funds into the Benelux, pioneered investment strategy certificates and Europe’s first ETF offering. In 1999 he moved to Deutsche Bank, where he became global head of its Structured Investment Products department and established the very successful X-markets platform offering investors a wide variety of capital markets products such as ETFs, certificates, UCITS, warrants, ETNs, hedge fund managed accounts, etc. In 2008 Johan founded Luxembourg Financial Group, which, once it had $5bn of AuM by 2011, was acquired by UBS, where Johan became global head of Investment Products and Platforms. In 2014 Johan co-founded Fiduciam and has been its CEO since.
