Cléo joined Cushman & Wakefield in July 2022. Leading the UK office market research team. The focus of the team is to address both the current and the future needs of the industry, across leasing, investment and tenant representation, and anything related to those. The world is changing, and it is more important than ever to have an in-depth appreciation of the short- and long-term changes, tactical and strategic considerations as well as the macro and micro trends that influence the future of the office sector and its place within real estate.

Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Cléo, a Dutch national, worked in real estate for 30 years. She started Property Overview in late 2017, providing property-related training courses as well as consultancy to clients across the world in all shapes and sizes on projects of varying nature. 

Prior to this, Cléo worked for a variety of institutions such as chartered surveyors, independent institutions like IPD (now MSCI), a private equity firm and a Middle Eastern Sovereign Wealth Fund. She has worked in a rich variety of roles, mainly focusing on research & strategy, but has also worked – amongst others - in capital raising, change management, Pan-European investment advisory, performance measurement and business development. Current and previous market focus has been across asset classes, in equity and debt, and on a Global level as well as on a Pan-European, German, Dutch and UK-only basis.  She speaks fluent English, Dutch and German. 

Cléo has been a speaker, chair and panellist on property-related events over the past 25 years on a range of topics facing the property industry and on diversity & inclusion. Considered a thought leader in the research community with the continuing improvement of knowledge at the forefront of her mind.
