Alex is a graduate of Cass Business School, and a chartered surveyor with over 15 years’ experience, he provides financial viability analysis and bespoke appraisals as part of the development process for a wide range of developers, landowners, public sector bodies and occupiers.

Alex’s expertise is advising on financial viability and risk analysis, disposal, valuation, and planning matters including submission of viability assessments as part of planning applications and inquiries across all major property sectors. In particular, he has a strong focus on complex strategic mixed-use redevelopment and regeneration projects. Recent projects include providing financial viability advice across developments across London such as Westferry Printworks, 19-35 Baker Street, Thameside West, Nova Victoria, and Woodberry Down. 

Alex also advises public sector bodies and local authorities including TfL, the City of London and other London Boroughs such as Wandsworth and Croydon. He has undertaken several Community Infrastructure Levy viability studies including for the City of London and Croydon as well advising Westminster City Council in relation to their community homes development programme.

Alex has a keen interest in the Serviced Living Sector covering everything from Build-to-Rent, Affordable Housing, Student, Aparthotels, Senior Living and Co-Living. He sits on a cross-discipline group at Gerald Eve which brings together experts in the sector to develop strategies for investors, developers and operators. He is also part of the Gerald Eve Analytics team undertaking performance analysis and property market forecasts and contributes to the firm’s quarterly In Brief publication.
