Narasimman Swaminathan

Professor of Physiotherapy and Vice Principal, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences

Narasimman is a physiotherapy educator and researcher, working as Professor of Physiotherapy and Vice Principal, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research in Chennai in India.

Narasimman completed his Post-graduation in Cardiopulmonary Physiotherapy in 2003 and FAIMER fellowship, at PSG, Regional Institute in the year 2012.  Prior to this appointment he worked with Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore from 2003 to 2014 in various capacities including Vice Dean.

Narasimman was trained in blended learning and quality assurance in higher education.  His research interests include creating a blended learning environment in developing countries to provide desired learning experience and competencies attainment in health profession education.  Narasimman has completed three funded educational research projects and is currently pursuing his PhD in Health Professional Education.  He is a member of Sri Ramachandra center for health professionals’ education and involved in training the educators in blended learning.
