Denisha is leading Stellenbosch University in its ICT digital transformation journey. She has an array of diverse digital experience at the helm of leading transformational ICT and has shown, throughout her career, that ICT is agnostic of industry.
Denisha’s prior roles include Chief Information Officer at City of Johannesburg for Metro Services. She was involved in leading the City to latest ERP systems technology that will enable the City to be mSCOA compliant per National Treasury Regulations. As well as this, she lead many other critical digital initiatives to enable the City of Johannesburg to lead in the 4IR of Smart Cities in South Africa using emerging technologies.
Denisha is a versatile ICT digital futurist with both public and private sector experience spanning several years. After a stint at the South African Revenue Service in various leadership positions, Denisha held several Vice President roles at both Absa Bank and Barclays in London. as head of business intelligence for Africa, and as head of analytics and head of banking fraud analytics and specialized services for Africa.
