How Twilio’s DAM Streamlined their Content Operations Across the Enterprise

As a business grows, the brand team must prepare for an exponential increase in creative content support. To be successful, this requires the right systems and mechanisms to intake and manage the high volume of requests. For leading customer engagement platform Twilio, meeting the creative project needs of over 7000 employees is easier said than done. A ticketing system lacking visibility into projects did not provide an ideal user-friendly experience, making communications inefficient and giving low transparency of project statuses - often leading to project delays and undesirable project experiences.

With careful planning and strategy, the Twilio team created a creative workflow process through their DAM platform to streamline requests and approvals, from video to translations to even ‘swag’. As a result, they’ve been able efficiently to:

- triage projects based on the workflow request
- give stakeholders significantly more visibility into the project
- improve the user experience for both the stakeholder and brand team.

Key Takeaways:

  • Observations from the Twilio team on how to standardize creative requests in one, centralized location with high visibility
  • Best practices on setting up a self-serve DAM for all teams in the enterprise to request content and adhere to brand guidelines
  • How analyzing content usage can help you make data-driven decisions for your business
