Diving Deep into the American Museum of Natural History’s use of Technological Advances to Enrich the Museum Goers’ Experiences

This session will be about how technology enables the audience to explore museum exhibits and collections in new ways that blend physical and virtual reality.

Providing a deep dive into the American Museum of Natural History’s (AMNH) latest media projects and best practices driven by emerging technologies, Eozin Che, Lead Creative Technologist, Science Visualization Group at the AMNH will highlight strategies that can be used by cultural institutions to:

  • Create their own tools that transform collections data into an engaging digital experience
  • Place visualized and explored exhibits on multiple platforms
  • Apply immersive 3D environments such as AR, VR and Metaverse to create experiences beyond anything seen before
