Semantic Data 2024: Taxonomy, Ontology, and Knowledge Graphs

Polly Alexander is a senior leader in the knowledge management and healthcare space with a background in public health and informatics in a critical care and hospital setting.  She has extensive experience identifying and defining taxonomies and ontologies to be used for organizing and searching complex data sets across online environments and content types and has a passion for using semantic technologies to accelerate personalized solutions for healthcare consumers.

In her current Director role, Polly contributes vision and thought leadership towards information architecture development and standardization to support patient engagement and activation-oriented solutions at WebMD Ignite.  She is the knowledge expert for taxonomy creation and metadata application to business processes in the healthcare space and is focused on growing customer and internal stakeholder satisfaction with content discovery and management using semantic technologies.
