The solution: A knowledge graph version of the Subject Specialist Directory - which today is a short pamphlet akin to the Yellow Pages.
The Structured Subject Specialist Directory is one part of a larger mission to liberate the thesaurus from its software constraints, allowing it to be used in other systems far and wide. We’re moving towards a single subject view of Parliament.
In this talk we will look at the Commons Library’s journey from thesaurus to knowledge graph with an emphasis on how the process is changing the role of information management.
