Edgar Meyer

Dean Deputy

Leeds University Business School

Edgar Meyer is the newly appointed Deputy Dean for Leeds University Business School.  He will share the portfolio for LUBS with the Executive Dean.
Edgar was previously Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programmes and Education Quality at Imperial College Business School.  As part of this portfolio, Edgar looked after a number of different programmes that support the development of business and management knowledge in undergraduate students across Imperial and beyond. In addition, Edgar held responsibility for the Learning & Teaching agenda across all of Imperial College Business School, looking after the development, quality assurance, and assurance of the education provision.  This included a responsibility for accreditation.
He has held numerous visiting professorial roles at Cotrugli Business School, Croatia, Tokyo Metropolitan University, Japan, and WiSO, University of Cologne, Germany. Edgar is an academic Member of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD) where he also acted as a membership assessor.  His research interests are in the area of teamwork and leadership. He focuses on notions of authenticity in leadership, as well as the changing dynamic of team leadership in virtual and/or mixed teams. Previous research has focused on knowledge, training, learning transfer, and collaboration.
