Margaret Majorack

Margaret Majorack is the Director, Managed Services at KlarisIP, operationalizing Rights and Clearances solutions for clients like National Geographic. Margaret’s career began at CTV News in Canada, managing the news archives for CTV Network. She has worked extensively in the operational management of film and video archives, including rights metadata capture and rights and clearances, for the Museum of Broadcast Communications (Chicago), National Geographic, Discovery Communications, Univision and most recently the streaming service, CuriosityStream. 

Margaret has been a consultant in the media and entertainment rights space for Media Recall Deluxe with clients like Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia and Austin City Limits. Margaret has organized the workflows for the transfer of physical assets to digital form including moving legacy metadata into the digital environment for major broadcasters like Discovery Communications.

Margaret has a degree in History from the University of Toronto, Saint Michael’s College, and was awarded the Benton Fellowship in Journalism at the University of Chicago. Margaret resides in Washington, D.C.
