Marla A. Watson is an accomplished digital asset manager who has collaborated on wide range of DAM projects requiring creative strategy and multi-media solutions. She specializes in the protection and organization of company assets, giving those resources findability, and connecting people with information.Currently, Marla is the Senior Digital Asset Manager at Headspace, a digital health company that provides meditation and mindfulness training for its users. At Headspace, she is the leader of DAM team and content management initiatives. She is responsible for developing digital asset workflows, controlled vocabularies and taxonomies, as well as creating and implementing guidelines for tracking and storing assets across the company.Marla has more than fifteen years of experience working at companies such as Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, REVOLT TV, TMZ, Smithsonian Institute Traveling Exhibitions, DreamWorks SKG and UCLA Film & Television Archive.  Over that time, her close working relationship with technology, creative talent, production companies, museums, archives and libraries has given her a fluent understanding of the database development, data governance, cataloging, and content management practices for both digital and physical assets.
