Michelle Roell is a Taxonomy Consultant working for clients via Kforce. Her current assignment includes developing and maintaining taxonomies and metadata for an audio production DAMS and no/low-code workflow tools helping creative operations teams plan their campaigns. She leads data governance groups with internal subject matter experts, writes and maintains documentation and advocates for shared data foundations across teams.

Prior work includes taxonomy and data stewardship roles with Netflix and The Walt Disney Company. She has been in the information science field for over 10 years after a previous career as a motion graphics animator. Michelle is a proud Longhorn having received her Master of Science in Information Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.

When not learning more about ontologies, you can find her at the movies, volunteering at her local animal shelter or hopefully at a yoga class.
