Pathway to Change: Amway’s Focus on User Experience to Create a truly Global DAM

April 14, 3:20 PM
In 2018, Amway’s DAM was extremely customized and complex. The team has been using a combination of UX and Agile, to move Amway towards a truly global DAM solution. In this case study, Tracy Olmsted, DAM Innovation Specialist, Amway, will review the steps they’re taking to move from a per-market solution to a seamless global experience that works for all of their markets, while providing more customized individual support.

Covering:
  • Where we started: How multiple instances and over-customization affected governance and technology
  • Why and how UX has supported our approach, including adopting a “user path-of-least-resistance”, to increase usage and compliance
  • Our process so far: Global feedback from users and stakeholders, strategy, structure, technology exploration, and testing ideas
  • How Cascading Strategy can be rooted in UX and result in Agile projects

HS DAM provided a network of like-minded passionate professionals that were so generous & honest with their front line experiences of working and creating in the DAM universe, Bravo.

Before attending a HS DAM event, I never knew the true impact or importance of DAM. For the first time it felt like I wasn't alone, but part of something so much greater. I left inspired and motivated to take what I had learned and apply it our DAM system. I look forward to the event every year!

The Henry Stewart DAM NY conference did not disappoint. The breadth of topics and experiences covered were amazing.  I could have used three of me to cover all the sessions I was interested in attending!
