Cornelia Fanslau-Oehmen

Museum Documentation and Digital Media

The Humboldt Forum Foundation

Cornelia Fanslau-Oehmen works at the Digital Departement of the Humboldt Forum Foundation and is responsible for the documentation of museum objects and exhibits as well as digital assets. As a historian and art historian she has been working for more than 15 years for different museums in collections management and digital asset management. She knows the processes from the handling and cataloguing of objects, to the organization of exhibitions, to the production of (analog and digital) publications and has experience with different Collections Management Systems as well as in the field of rights and reproductions.

Since Cornelia joined the Humboldt Forum Foundation five years ago, she has been involved in the further development and adaptation of its Digital Asset Management System to the needs of a growing institution. She was involved in the survey of the Foundation's very specific requirements for collections management and comprehensive exhibition management and is now overseeing the further customization of the two software systems and, together with her colleagues of the Digital Department, their planned integration.
