Luciano Johnson is Associate Chief Librarian for Preservation, Imaging & Creative Services at The Frick Collection. He oversees Digital Asset Management, digital preservation, imaging, book and paper conservation, and design, advancing access and long-term care of collections. An early architect of The Frick’s enterprise DAMS, he has guided its growth into an institution-wide resource supporting scholarship, library and research services, curatorial activity, and core museum functions. With over two decades of experience in cultural heritage digitization, conservation, and design, he is committed to strengthening DAM practice while shaping the future of art research libraries.
