Jim Rourke

Senior Asset Specialist

Arc Worldwide

Jim Rourke is a Senior Asset Specialist at Arc Worldwide—a Publicis Groupe Agency. He has 23 years of experience in the industry, starting out as a Digital Archivist at Ryan Partnership, then Epsilon, and finally landing at Arc in 2020. Jim is part of a 4-person team managing the Digital Asset Management system at Arc, overseeing a large repository of creative assets including final released files, stock photos/audio/video, photo shoots, and brand assets. He and the team ensure that the assets are organized, cataloged with the appropriate metadata, accessible only to their specific brand teams, and archived once the assets are out of date. He also manages font purchasing for the Agency; reviewing EULAs and ensuring that the agency purchases the licenses needed to limit liability.

He is currently involved in the company’s migration to a new DAM system, meeting weekly with the development teams to ensure that the tool has the features and improvements that the creative teams need to do their jobs efficiently. Version 1.0 of the system should deploy at the beginning of October, and he has already started researching improvements for v2.0 of the new DAM. He was a member of the graduating class of the Rutgers Digital Asset Management Certificate Program during its inaugural year in 2020.

What others say

This was my first Henry Stewart DAM Conference in my 15-year career of Digital Asset Management and I am so grateful to David Lipsey and the team for the opportunity to connect with other likeminded individuals and gain more knowledge and use the learnings to bring back to my team. Looking forward to what's to come!

HS DAM events are one of the few opportunities to get together with other DAM professionals, speak to multiple vendors, learn, and make connections.

The HS DAM NYC conference was a great way to learn about new developments in the field, compare practices with colleagues, and make new DAM friends and connections. It was awesome!
