At Chewy, Don Browning led the establishment of the Media Content Services department overseeing the development of workflows that enhance media ingestion, metadata tagging, and digital archiving. His efforts have significantly improved content movement across production pipelines, streamlining operations and ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of digital assets. Additionally, he assembled and manages a team of asset management professionals, strengthening Chewy’s content infrastructure. His leadership enhances content movement across production pipelines, optimizing operations for Chewy’s growing media needs.

Previously, Browning held leadership roles at Sony Electronics and NBCSports, where he played a key role in advancing media workflows and digital transformation. At NBC, he led multiple innovations that included the digitization 250,000+ videotapes, and he launched one of the largest optical storage systems encompassing over a 42-petabyte media archive; his implementation of cloud technologies provided global access to over 3 million assets and launched the network’s first Media Asset Management (MAM) system. He also led the development of a golf logging system used by NBCSports and Olympic production teams. Earlier in his career at Sony Electronics, Don drove broadcast technology sales and engineering securing the largest broadcast upgrades in the USA which encompassed over 40 HD studio cameras and a host of infrastructure technologies earning him the prestigious Samurai Lifetime Achievement Award.
