Alexis is responsible for managing both physical and digital assets for the Advertising team. Alexis holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies and is keenly interested in access and information governance. These interests first led her to pursue and implement solutions as an administrative assistant at the Skirball Cultural Center Museum for more efficient administrative records management and collections management strategies.
Alexis is now applying her experience from the cultural heritage sector to a larger-scale corporate level to address and overcome challenges pertaining to asset governance, accessibility, usability, and preservation. Her goals at GUESS include establishing good governance with the systems and platforms currently in place and, ultimately, to help implement a comprehensive company-wide DAM in which assets are properly stored and accessed across the company's international offices.
Apart from her current role at GUESS, Alexis also spends her spare time performing archival work at the community level. She has served as the Director of Records Management & Archives for Pinaysphere, a Ventura-based Filipina-led community organization, and is currently performing metadata work for a grant-funded archival project at the UCLA Asian American Studies Center
