Why is DAM for Healthcare so Difficult?
DAM in healthcare is challenging due to several unique factors. These challenges include:
- Compliance pressures
- Unique terminology
- The need to manage transactional files
- The difficulty of modifying established healthcare workflows
There are other challenges specific to healthcare DAM such as material expiration, destruction deadlines, and the lack of existing tech stack integrations. Healthcare organizations may use non-traditional media and channels, such as emails or localized PowerPoint presentations, which may not always be compatible with DAM best practices.
