Bernie joined Aetna as the Enterprise Taxonomist during the early stages of the company’s DAM implementation and quickly assumed the role of Digital Asset Manager by developing and managing complex libraries, product taxonomies, and multi-faceted classifications while working successfully with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into actionable solutions.

Bernie began his career in professional photography, producing and taking photos for retail company catalogs. The transition from film to digital photography kickstarted his interest in properly storing and managing large libraries of digital files. Eventually, this evolved into a career in Digital Asset Management with a continuous desire to learn and improve. Bernie was a member of the first cohort to complete the Digital Asset Management Certificate Program at Rutgers University in 2020.
