Alexandra Bernet

Digital Asset Manager

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts (LCPA)

Alex has over 10 years of DAM experience with media companies such as Conde Nast and Hachette Book Group and has recently started a new role as the digital asset manager at LCPA. Digital assets relating to events, history, and performances at LCPA, from both archival and contemporary sources make up the rich content of the DAM. Starting in the traditional archive world and working in the corporate world, and moving into the cultural sphere, has informed her roles of digital archivist and DAM administrator.

Over the course of Alexandra’s career, she’s worked on creating taxonomies for photo archives to large-scale digitization conversion projects to metadata creation and mapping, to several DAM implementation and migration projects. Being responsible for evaluating current workflows, vendor selection, metadata governance, and user training keeps her engaged with both the front- and back-end of DAM systems.

What others say

Henry Stewart events are integral to the learning process as I finish my Master's in Library and Information Science. The added bonus of remote access allows those of us who cannot attend in person to take advantage of the industry world leaders HS events always bring. Thank you!

I always learn so much at HS DAM events! Just like DAM is a process not a project, so is keeping current with the trends, updates, and vendors. HS makes me feel like I am plugged in.

HS DAM events provide the opportunity to learn what works and doesn't, what I should be focusing on in the future, and introduce areas I may have not thought to consider in how we're currently using our DAM and where we should be going.
