The Art and Practice of Managing Digital Media

Fabiana Barticioti

Digital Asset Manager

British Airways

Fabiana is based in London and owns the digital asset governance portfolio at BA – digital housekeeping, taxonomy, rights management, asset portfolios curation, DAM ownership and stakeholder’s liaison are her key workstreams.

At the end of her first year, Fabiana will have coordinated a cross-team to roll out a new DAM containing legacy and newly created assets and decommissioned the previous assets’ repository. She joined the BA Creative Studio Team, which in turn is part of Brand & Marketing Group, in June 2023 at an exciting and challenging time. The company had just implemented a new CSM and has been migrating their websites as well as launched a new uniform to their worldwide staff, and consequently her team has been refreshing the entire assets bank.

Fabiana is an archivist by trade and had been fortunate to have started her archives career as a curatorial assistant at the V&A Theatre and Performance Department and then had worked closely with the Curator of the Royal Ballet School Museum and Archives. After that she collaborated with LSE Library Curators to facilitate their curatorial stories into digital collections in the LSE Digital Library.

What others say

HS DAM events are a great way to connect with other global DAM users and innovators. Whether you are a DAM vendor or day to day user DAM Europe is a great networking opportunity to learn new things.

HS DAM events provide me with the opportunity to network and get a flavour of products and plug ins being used and how people are integrating technology into their DAMs.

HS DAM events are an invaluable opportunity to meet a wide range of DAM practitioners, futurologists, and deep specialists. You'll find parallels in industries you know and new concepts from industries you don't, that will make you question and improve your practice.
