DAM and Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Reaping the rewards of the new capabilities

The opportunities:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing a critical role in reshaping how we manage, modify, and optimize digital assets. AI offers both the opportunity and the ability to improve all aspects of DAM - from the management of metadata, enhancing search and discovery processes, streamlining workflow to enhanced automation, predictive analytics and personalization. DAM is being transformed both as a technology and as a fundamental process within the creative and marketing operations of businesses.

DAM is at the core of the marketing and creative ecosystem and should be viewed as a constant network of connections between people, process, and technology. And with new advancements into AI agents, DAM can do even more to automate and optimize digital assets, more efficiently than ever before plus offer improved insights and better compliance.

But is AI making our digital assets and content all the messier and more complicated?

Good, trusted, authentic data is critical to AI; trust and certainty that the data is accurate and usable is critical for success. And be mindful of the people, processes, and technologies that may influence data and learning within business.

AI is a transformative force in marketing technology and creative operations and should not work in splendid isolation. Applications must interact with humans throughout all DAM processes, and the entire asset lifecycle.

This DAM and Artificial Intelligence (AI) series covers how AI technologies are changing DAM functionality and processes, including:

  • Metadata, Tagging, Trust & Authenticity
  • AI Agents Transforming DAM
  • Visual Search, Rights & Transparency
  • Generative AI workflows

Each of the four sessions focuses on a specific aspect, examining how it is evolving and the ways in which DAM may be used.

AI is a partner in how digital assets are and will be managed in the future, and this series provides a foundation to better understand what action to take and how, when, and why to move forward.
