Jemma Gould

Jemma Gould is Vice President, Chief Sustainability Officer at IPG, one of the world’s leading providers of advertising and marketing services. In this role, she is responsible for the company’s global corporate responsibility and sustainability programs, which includes ensuring compliance with reporting standards such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

Under Jemma’s leadership, IPG has received several recognitions for its ESG initiatives. These include four years on the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) North America, and inclusion on the S&P 500 ESG and the S&P Global 1200 ESG S&P indices. IPG is also included on the FTSE4Good Index, which identifies businesses that demonstrate strong ESG practices measured against international standards.

Jemma has been with IPG for more than 20 years, prior to which she was with Young & Rubicam as the agency’s Director of Internal Communications. She began her career in the not-for-profit sector, working with the Business Committee for the Arts, an organization founded by David Rockefeller to encourage business support of the arts.

Jemma holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Binghamton University and a Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Management from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. She is a member of the Advisory Board of ACT Responsible, an NGO which unites the marketing communications industry to share best practices on social responsibility and sustainable development. She is also a member of the 4As Sustainability Task Force and the Ad Net Zero Global Leadership Group. Jemma has judged the 4As Jay Chiat Awards in the Sustainability Strategy category and served as a juror for The Drum Awards for Social Purpose. Additionally, Jemma is a member of the Advisory Board for Green the Bid, an organization working to establish sustainable commercial productions.
