Marcela is the Director of Creative Operations for the Marketing & Promotions department of NBC Universal Telemundo in Miami Florida. Marcela has over 15 years’ experience working in creative operations and helping creative teams reach their maximum potential by optimizing workflow and process. She insists she was built with a creative heart lead by her ops brain and that has allowed her to be fully embraced and trusted amongst the creative teams she works with. Setting up process that makes sense for creatives and identifying inefficiencies has always been her strong suit, the reward is seeing amazing work on screen from her teams!

Before her venture with NBC, Marcela launched the Latin American channels for BBC Worldwide. This allowed her to build operational processes from scratch for an entire network. She moved to Mexico City for a year to learn the ins and outs of Latin American work culture so she could build processes that made sense to that team. During her tenure with the BBC, she launched 4 channels across Latin America and US Hispanic audiences and wrote the editorial guidelines still used today for the entire region in advertising and sponsorship policies.

Prior to BBC, Marcela started her career with Viacom International as a Post Production Producer for MTV, VH1 & Nickelodeon Networks for Latin America.

When she’s not chasing creatives around, she’s cheering her 8-year-old son on in his soccer games, trying to convince her 14-year-old daughter that she doesn’t need makeup, watching movies with her husband or cuddling her English bulldog Manteca.
