Wrangling the Creative Process Beast

When Lisa Bennett was hired as Head of Dell Blue, Dell Technologies 160+ person in-house agency, she inherited a strong team of thinkers and makers as well as a collection of creative challenges.

The creative development process was over-complicated with numerous people offering opinions on the work.

With guidance from Blum Consulting, Lisa’s goal was to streamline the process, clarify roles and responsibilities, and provide guidance to those offering creative input.

This session will recount Lisa’s journey, undertaken with partners, Blum Consulting, which led to a more efficient, more effective process, and ultimately a stronger, more impactful creative product.

With Lisa Bennett, VP of Global Brand & Head of Dell Blue at Dell Technologies and T. Alex Blum, Founding Partner Blum Consulting Partners, Inc

Busting Bias in the Creative Process

In 2022, more than half of the Cannes Lion award winners, across all categories, had diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of the work.

In this interactive 30-minute power talk, creative teams will gain the know-how to deliver stronger, more authentic narratives in their creative execution by understanding how to shape an inclusion-first creative process.

When inclusion is at the heart of the creative brief, brands can deliver creative work that taps into fresh audiences and unlocks a new RoI: an improved ROI (return on investment) through a new ‘Return on Inclusion’ (RoI).

How to get ‘inclusion' right? First, we must understand how bias shows up in ourselves, our teams, and the work. With this understanding, we can rewire the process and tell fresh, compelling stories.

Learn how to unpack bias, wherever it shows up in the creative process (spoiler alert: everywhere), and create powerful new narratives that power stand-out creative – which, in turn, grows your brand.

With Ali Hanan, CEO and Debbie Tembo, Inclusion Partner, Creative Equals.
