Photo Studio Operations London 2023

First Sessions Announced

We are busy developing an exciting agenda for Photo Studio Operations London 2023 so keep your eyes peeled for details. Register your interest here to be the first to hear about new sessions and speakers!

In the meantime, check out the first three sessions announced:

Standing Out in a Crowd

ASOS has a non-unique Sports brand portfolio that sits in what can be a crowded, and traditionally viewed space. Alongside product curation and creation ASOS Studios strive to innovate and drive in this space, and in turn, challenge the status quo within the market cutting through a sea of traditional Sportswear images.

See how ASOS presents Sports brands by blending the worlds of sports and fashion into one, playing on recognizable settings and scenarios, juxtaposing fashion moments amongst everyday scenes trying to make striking and memorable imagery that maybe can stand out in a crowd.

With Peter Davies, Studios Director at ASOS

Sustainability: what photo studios can and must do

The work of photo studios must meet the standards of good sustainability practice. Both what we do and how we do it. However, achieving that goal can present substantial challenges.

The first steps are to recognize the opportunities – the low-lying fruits and the more demanding, longer-term objectives. Early success can drive business growth

In this session, Maria Gomez Diaz from Amazon Photo Studios in Barcelona will identify sustainable opportunities for Photo Studios - from small actions to multi-year programmes that span entire operations.

Maria will cover;

  • Current best practice and tools to effect change
  • The wide spectrum of changes that deliver higher standards of sustainability – including the management of wide ranging, audited and certified programmes.
  • Ensuring compatibility between the objectives of the sustainability programme and the organisation’s business model and financial projections.
  • The essential role of effective communication and the rewards of being the partner of choice
With Maria Gomez Diaz, Operations Lead Amazon, Imaging PhotoStudio Barcelona
