Position: SVP Production & Technology

As Senior Vice President, Production & Technology for Showtime Networks Inc., Paul Nicholson oversees two distinct production disciplines. On the print side, Nicholson oversees Showtime’s production and project management, print buying, pre-press studio & retouching services departments. On the broadcast side he manages Showtime’s RED POST audio/video facility, the network’s pre and post-production departments, rights & clearances, traffic and edit scheduling services.

Along with his production responsibilities, Nicholson manages all creative technology for the company, which includes IT systems and services, the corporate Digital Asset Management system/team and infrastructure, job management systems, data center operations and custom software design and development.

Paul prides himself on the great team he has put in place at Showtime, and the efficient workflows he and his team have developed over the past 16 years together. Showtime’s award-winning in-house agency, handles the execution of all on-air and off-air advertising and marketing for the companies 20+ television networks including Showtime, The Movie Channel, Flix and Smithsonian Channel.

As a recognized leader in the industry, Paul was a recipient of the 2010 Luminaire Award, a 2011 DAMMY, and the 2012 Franklin Power of Communications Award. He has spoken at many industry events including the Createasphere DAM conference, Henry Stewart User conference, Adobe Ideas, Macworld, HD World, P3 seminars and Seybold. He currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for the Advertising Production Club of NY (APC-NYC) and is a member of the Board of Directors for the Digital Enterprise Education & Research Foundation (DEER) for IDEAlliance.
