Tutorial Leaders

Conference Chair, David Lipsey is a well-known industry founder and contributor to DAM projects. He has 25 years of experience in the diversified media and entertainment sectors, including newspapers, trade, education and technical publishing, magazines, commercial printing, syndication services, cable, broadcast and studio work. He is widely known as an innovative thought leader and speaker on contemporary content issues.

Graham Allan has spent over 20 years in digital media and entertainment technology, leading DAM, metadata and file-based transformation for several top M&E companies from strategy & business case development to product/partner selection, systems deployment and organizational design/development.  15 of those years were spent driving DAM and infrastructure software initiatives for Disney's animation, film and television divisions, and directing the company’s enterprise integrated MAM strategy. He is AVP, Consulting, for Cognizant where he leads the Entertainment Segment Practice, covering a broad range of technology professional services initiatives for media and entertainment.

John Horodyski is a Partner with Optimity Advisors with executive management strategy experience in Information Management including DAM, Metadata and Taxonomy design, Content Management, Information Governance, Rights Management, and Brand strategy. John has provided strategic direction and consulting for a variety of Fortune 100 and 500 clients from Consumer Packaging Goods, to Media & Entertainment, and the Pharmaceutical industry. John is also an Adjunct Faculty at San Jose State University where he teaches a graduate course in Digital Asset Management. In addition to regular training and public speaking on digital media and metadata, John is a Board Member / Metadata Editor of the Journal of Digital Media Management, and is a monthly DAM contributor to CMS Wire. John recently published in May 2016 his book, “Inform, Transform, Outperform: Digital Content Strategies to Optimize Your Business for Growth.” 

Theresa Regli is a 25-year veteran of the information technology industry, with a particular focus on DAM for the last decade. She advises C-level executives and DAM project leads on DAM strategy, data design, and product selection, and subsequently supports the sustainment of digital stewardship and best practices. Based in London, she works with several UK government institutions and focuses much of her work on cultural heritage, including The Museum of London and The Art Fund, the UK’s largest art charity. By contrast, she has led and developed DAM strategy for over 20% of the Fortune 500, including Unilever, Coca-Cola, General Mills, Shell, and Nestlé. She also advises numerous media, entertainment, and manufacturing companies as Principal Consultant with KlarisIP. 

Over the course of her career Theresa has authored over 1000 pages of in-depth research on the DAM industry, vendors, and tools, and she is the author of the definitive book on managing media and digital marketing assets, Digital & Marketing Asset Management: The Real Story of DAM Technology & Practice. She has presented keynote presentations in 18 countries over the last ten years, and is frequently a guest lecturer in the digital media Master’s program at Kings College, London. 

Lauren Espiritu-Philson is the founder of Percent Gray, a strategy and business operations partner for content creators. For Lauren, process is key - and over the years, she has worked in creative leadership and executive advisement roles with companies like USAA, Fuse Media, The Rockefeller Foundation, Gilt.com and BFA with the simple goal of redefining the way in which content is created and managed. Starting out as a photographer and web designer, Lauren's career evolved alongside the digital landscape providing her with a unique perspective that suits well when speaking to both creative and business objectives with her clients.
